3D2N Orangutan Adventure Package Itenerary
Here is our essential tour package to visit the capital of orangutan world in Tanjung Puting National Park. Let’s Go Cruising the Sekonyer River, trekking through the tropical forest and watching animals, especially orangutan in their natural habitat.
DAY 1 : PANGKALAN BUN AIRPORT/ HOTEL – KUMAI – TANJUNG HARAPAN CAMP – HOUSEBOAT. (L, D)
- Arrival at iskandar Airport-Pangkalan Bun (PKN) meet our guide & transfer to kumai (20-30 mins drive). Early Flight arrival is recommended/flight arrival before 12.00 pm.
Board the klotok(wooden river boat). - 12.00 Welcome Lunch on board while cruising along the Sekonyer River. Start your Journey through Tanjung puting National Park.
- 15.00 Visit Tanjung Harapan short trek through the forest, watch Orangutan feeding session. Wildlife spotting: long-tailed macaques, birds, wild boars.
- 16.30 Return to houseboat sunset river cruise look for proboscis monkey and hornbills.
- 19.00 Dinner on board, enjoy dinner under the stars. Stay Overnight in klotok (houseboat).
DAY 2 : HOUSEBOAT – PONDOK TANGGUI – CAMP LEAKEY – HOUSEBOAT. (B, L, D)
- 06.30 Wake up to jungle sounds & enjoy breakfast on board.
- 08.00 visit Pondok Tanggui light jungle walk Orangutan feeding session at 09.00 am. Observe semi-wild orangutans in their natural environment.
- 10.30 Return to the boat, cruises deeper into the jungle toward Camp Leakey Lunch served on board during the journey.
- 14.00 Visit Camp leakey famous orangutan rehabilitation & research center. Attend feeding session. Visit the information center & explore forest trails.
- 16.30 Back to houseboat. Afternoon coffe & relax on deck. Spot wild animals along the riverbank.
- 19.00 Dinner on board. Night on the river- listen to the forest nightlif. Stay overnight on the klotok (houseboat).
DAY 3: HOUSEBOAT – KUMAI – PANGKALAN BUN AIRPORT. (B)
- After Breakfast the boat will bring you back to kumai harbor, After that our driver and tour guide will drop you to the hotel or airport, it is depend of your schedule Flight. The tour will end at 09.00 am.

WHAT TO BRING TO TANJUNG PUTING – 3D2N TOUR
Essential Documents : Passport or ID card (Original), Flight Tickets (digital or printed), Booking Confirmation from your tour operator
Clothing & Accessories : Comportable clothes (T-shirts, shorts/pants), Long-sleeved shirt and long pants (for mosquito protection), Light jacket or sweater (it can get chily at night), Hat or sun cap, Raincoat or poncho (rain is unpredictable), Comportable walking shoes and flip-flops.
Personal Item : Suncreen, Mosquito repellent (spray or lotion), Wet wipes and dry tissue, Hand Sanitizer, Personal Medicine (if any), Extra face mask, Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, small towel).
Electronics & gear : Camera or smartphone + charger, Powerbank (electricity on the boat is limited), Refilable water bottle (water is provided on board), Flashlight or headlamp, Dry bag or ziplock bags (to protect electronics).
Optional but Useful : Binoculars (for Wildlife viewing), Notebook or jurnal, Favorite snacks, Sarong or multi-purpose cloth, Hand fan.
Additional Notes :
– You will be staying on a klotok (traditional wooden boat) with basic facilities, so pack light and practical.
– The Bornean rainforest is hot, humid, and can be rainy, so prepare accordingly for tropical weather.
